Growing up, my family always had a dog. We once tried a cat, but that didn’t last long. My wife and I currently have three Chihuahuas and every time I see ANY hurt animal, I am reminded of my little furry guys. So when I saw this video posted by Kyle Steed, I cried like a baby. I couldn’t stop thinking about Gus, Rocket and Dylan.
Just wait until we have kids LOL

For the last couple of weeks I have been hanging out with a buddy of mine who got me hooked on saying/tweeting “BOOM.” When I saw this commercial, I knew I had to post this. Also, If you look closely at the commercial, the word BOOM is displayed on a screen in yellow and black. BOOM!

As we are running we find a bookstore and run in. Now for some reason my group turned into a few friends and some new civilians. As we are hiding out talking about what just happened, a lady opens the front door and begins to talk to someone. I rush down there and tell her to come inside. She didn’t listen and that someone had turned into a zombie and bit her. We killed the zombie and brought her in. We dididnt know what to do but she then turned into a zombie and we had to put her out. Soon this bookstore turned into a multi-level school and notice zombies walking from the west wing. We start to make our escape by going up the stairs to exit out the top level door. By this point I have a shotgun and I am blasting these bad boys into pieces. Zombies were popping out of classrooms and closets. In one scene my wife is now in my group and we hop in a van and leave the facility. As we drive about a few miles we crash and end up in a neighborhood. As we are getting out of the van a group of people begin to run towards us because they were being chased by new zombies. This is where it gets funny. Everyone rushes to the top deck of the front porch and I pull out my glock and start shooting this one zombie man that is standing at the top of the stairs. As I begin to shoot him at close range, he starts laughing. I quickly then notice my gun was a water gun. Man this dream was so intense that I had to wake up.

So this is real life now. I wake up and take the dogs outside to potty (I do this EVERY night) and when we are out there I hear the most crazy sound ever. It was like a loud crazy door was opening (kinda like the ones you hear in movies when the place is abandoned and the hindges are rusty) every 40 seconds. So the dogs and I run up to the fence and look through a hole and the sound got louder but we couldn’t see anything in the street. By this time it was so instense that every 5 seconds I was checking my back. After a few minutes trying to hear or see anyhing, we give up and go back inside to bed and I begin to write out my experience.

Ok time for bed, but before I leave you, here are some questions for you:

Almost every night before I go to bed, I normally grab a CapriSun from the fridge so that I have something to drink thoughout night. If I have cup of water on my nightstand, our cute little Chihuahuas will drink out of it and I will be left with none. So all that to say, a friend of mine sent me an email on facebook to a link of a girl who pulled out a nasty glob of crap out of her CapriSun. She said within seconds her kitchen was filled with a foul odor. Now I am scared to drink one.

Searching for a new car can be hectic. Why? Because the Sales person can be really annoying. Luckily the dude over at Nissan was nice, but boy did he talk a lot. We arrived at 7 pm and left the dealership at 10:30 pm. At first they didn’t want to give me what I was asking for, but I put my foot down and got what I wanted.

This weekend I added a new t-shirt to my Threadless collection. It’s called Space and Time by Justin White. I have never been a big fan of the color purple, but this design is wicked cool.

Red wine vinegar, basil and spicy steak seasoning flavor this pot roast. This pot roast is easy to prepare and tastes great. My wife always laughs when I put cilantro and basil into certain dishes, but it adds an amazing touch of flavor.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 4.5 hours (high) or 8.5 hours (low)

Ingredients:

• 1 beef round eye pot roast about 3 pounds
• salt and pepper
• 4 tablespoons fine red wine vinegar (Regina)
• 1 medium onion, sliced
• 3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
• 1 single clove garlic
• 1 1/2 cup of water
• 3 tablespoons of Spicy Montreal Steak Seasoning
• 3 tablespoons of basil
• 3/4 pounds of Mini Peeled Carrots
• 2 pounds of California New Potatoes
• 3 links of Johnsonville Brats Original
• a pinch of cilantro

Preparation:

The preparation for the recipe is easy. Once you have all the ingredients, just dump it into the crock pot. Turn it on high for 4.5 hours or on low for 8.5 hours or until the roast is very tender. Serves 4.

This past year was great for Laura and I. We lived in our house for an entire year and we also adopted 2 new little furry friends. Another reason why this past year was great was because the Dallas Cowboys made it to the playoffs. Laura and I talked about going to a game but we never made it until the Cowboys played the Eagles in the playoffs. We purchased the party pass tickets and sat at the bar the entire night with a great view. At first we walked around trying to find a good spot. After 20 minutes of walking around, we found a spot near the bar, however, we were still standing up. 30 minutes later, my feet were tired so right when I looked over at the bar, two men were leaving their seats and I quickly ran over there and took them. The view wasn’t the best, but it was awesome just being there. People were cheering, clapping, high-fiving each other and some also got arrested. Overall we had a blast.

I was disappointed in the last game against the Minnesota Viking, however, next year will be the year for the Cowboys to make it to the Super Bowl here in our home town. Laura and I live like 10 minutes away from the Cowboys Stadium and I am trying to convince her into letting us rent out the house for that weekend to some SUPER FANATIC fans. We could easily cash in $3-5K. Our house has a nice 42″ flat screen, a pool and all the necessities you receive in a condo. We will see how that works out.

HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!

After launching KariJobe.com, I then had to work from home for 3 days because our little furry Chihuahua had to get neutered. During these three days of babysitting and working, at night I played the bass guitar at Gateway Church for the Equipping Groups and the Alpha Men’s Ministry. Then when Friday came along, I played a total of 6 services at the North Richland Hills campus. Three on Saturday and three on Sunday. Three might not sound like a lot but the hours on Saturday are from 12:45 pm to 8 pm and on Sunday from 8 am till about 1 pm. Honestly I had a blast at every service. It is an awesome experience to help lead others into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That Sunday night I passed out at about 8:30 pm and didn’t wake up till about 7 am.

When I arrived to work the next morning, I started designing my friends website RyanEdgarMusic.com. My friends and I at Church Media Group worked hard for two straight days to knock this site out of the ballpark. Much thanks to Travis Gates and Yuri Star for making it happen. The site was a success. A simple one page design with audio samples and a kick butt photo gallery.

I will finish with this… Last night my wife and I attended a Kickboxing class at LA Fitness and right now I AM SORE! the class looks simple, but it’s so stinkin hard. I don’t know how the trainer can lead 2 classes in a row.

Well thats it folks, these past few weeks have been so much fun at work and at church. Now it is time to hang out with my wife, my 2 furry little friends and prepare for the new exhibition at Dallas this Thursday: BODIES… The Exhibition.
